Fire Extinguishers

Fire extinguishers form an integral part of the fire fighting equipment on board a ship.

Lotek offers a wide range of portable and mobile fire extinguishers for both small and large areas. We are happy to provide counselling regarding type, size and adequate quantity. Once the equipment has been selected, we provide installation of the fire extinguishers and subsequently we ensure that your fire extinguishers receive the annual inspection by our DBI-certified sales and service technicians.

The table below shows which fire extinguishers are most suitable for different types of fire:​

​NOTE: Unsuitable extinguishers can often extinguish the current type offire- there is how ever important exceptions and other types of extinguishers will be more suitable. We will gladly guide you to the extinguisher that suits the needs are on board your vessel best.
